1.What we collect
- Account data — your email address and name, used to create and secure your account and to send essential service messages.
- Pitch content — the pitch decks you write, the files you upload, and the inputs of your financial models. This is your content; we store it to provide the Service.
- Usage data — product analytics (which features are used, which pages are visited) and technical logs (IP address, browser type), kept for security, debugging and product improvement.
We collect nothing beyond what the Service needs, and we never sell personal data.
Don’t upload sensitive information
getmyfund is built for pitch materials — decks, financial projections and supporting documents you intend to share with funders. Please do not upload:
- passports, ID cards or other identity documents;
- passwords, API keys or any other credentials;
- bank account or card numbers;
- health or medical data;
- trade secrets or materials you are not free to share with reviewers.
We do not need any of this to provide the Service, and uploading it creates unnecessary risk for you. Uploaded something by mistake? Delete it in the app, or write to hello@getmy.fund and we will remove it.
2.Where your data is stored
Your data lives in the European Union, on managed virtual private servers, in a PostgreSQL database. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit with TLS. Backups are kept within the same environment and are covered by the same retention rules as live data.
3.Who can see your deck
Your pitch deck content is private by default. It can be seen by:
- Members of your organization — the cofounders and teammates you invite yourself.
- Expert reviewers — when you order an expert review, independent reviewers get access to that deck only, under confidentiality obligations.
- Our administrators — a small number of staff can access content strictly for support requests, abuse investigation and legal compliance — never for marketing.
We never show your deck to other users, to funders, or to the public without an explicit action from you.
4.AI processing
When you use AI features (draft help, polish, evaluation), the relevant deck text is sent to our AI provider — DeepSeek — to generate the analysis or suggestion you asked for. Under our arrangement with the provider, this content is used only to produce the response and is not used to train AI models. We send only what the feature needs, and we never send your account credentials or payment details.
5.Payments
When payments are enabled, paid plans are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see or store your full card number. From Paddle we receive only what is needed to activate your plan — such as a transaction reference and your subscription status.
6.Your rights (GDPR)
- Access & export — download a complete export of your account data and decks in one click, from your account settings.
- Deletion — delete your account in one click; your content is removed from production systems immediately.
- Rectification — edit your profile and content at any time in the app.
You can also object to or restrict processing, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For any request, write to hello@getmy.fund — we respond within 30 days.
7.Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, content is removed from production systems immediately and disappears from backups within 30 days. Minimal billing records are retained only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
8.Cookies & local storage
The site and the app use only functional browser storage (localStorage) — for example, to remember your language and keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party ad analytics.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If a change is significant, we will announce it in the app or by email. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
